A dedicated group of runners showed up at 6am this morning for the first speed session workout!! Thanks to Wendy, Tammy, Amy, Kelli, Shawn, Colby, Nick, Steven, Mike, and Ryne for making the first session a success. After our one mile warm-up, we did a few stretching exercises and several strides before taking a couple of minutes to rest before the one mile time trial. Even though it was very hot by the time we started, I have to say that everyone came in faster than they thought they would! Based on this morning's results, it is going to be a fun 11 weeks of speed training!
