Sandy ShawhanSandy Shawhan, the friendly Pastor at Nolensville First United Methodist church on the corner of old Rocky Fork, will be retiring June 20th, so please join in saying goodbye to her on the 20th of June. There will be coffee and refreshments served between services on this day, so it will give you a chance to give her a hug and enjoy seeing some old friends.

FREE Acting Classes Print

Free acting classes for kids ages 7 to 13 begin Thursday, July 1 at 10am to noon at the Nolensville Library in the meeting room.  These classes will teach kids audition techniques, cold reading, performance skills and a recital at the end of the 6 weeks for family, friends and guests.

The Feed Mill Opens a Deli Print

What will owner, Darin Scheff, think of next?  From the new ownership of the Nolensville Feed Mill, back in 2004, the "Mill," has gone in different directions, yet still remaining the retail establishment that it is. If you recall, when Scheff took it over it was a Feed Mill, with grains, horse and pet feed, tack items and other items for "out on the range needs." The Mill needed some changes so the store was closed for a couple of months while the changes were being made.

Surprise at the Soccer Field Print

At my grandson’s Soccer practice last week, I saw a familiar face coaching the kids.  I said to my son, “I know that man, but can’t think of his name.”  My son told me it was nobody that either of us knew.  I kept staring at him as I continued to get the jabs in my side to “stop” gawking at the Soccer Coach and wave to my grandson who was smiling widely at the success of his soccer ball he kicked into the net.  At break time, that familiar face started walking toward us said, “I know you two.  You have Post Office Boxes ” It was Julian Wood, the newest addition to the front line at the Post Office right here in Nolensville.
